From Software公司最近公布了次世代机器人动作大作《装甲核心FA》的一批高清晰游戏画面，这次终于可以看到本作对抗超巨型并且的强大魄力，体现出次世代游戏的真正风采。本作讲述在LINKS战争之后，企业开始决定改变过于依赖特定人物的军事结构，超巨大型兵器Arms Fort成为主要的战斗力，其中最大的机型长度可达7公里。它不仅是单纯的兵器，还具备了当作移动要塞的功能，很适合在污染和过度开发而荒芜的地面上战斗。
本作的一大亮点就是会加入超巨型兵器“Arms Fort”，它不仅体型巨大，而且有列车型、水上型、飞翔型等各种变化形态，每种形态都会配备不同的武器。与这种巨大兵器战斗，就要从外部逐一破坏零件，或者进入内部破坏核心部分。
