This is the theme song for the second season of the TV anime "BEASTARS", which is scheduled for January 2021. This is YOASOBI's first anime theme song. "BEASTARS" is an anime based on a popular manga that has won several manga awards, including the 11th Manga Grand Prize (2018). The first season aired in 2019 and was very popular. In addition, Baru Itagaki, the author of "BEASTARS," has written his first novel, "Jibun no Mune ni Jibun no Mimi wo Oshi Atete. Includes DVD. Limited edition only manufactured until May 31, 2021.

2021年1月クールTVアニメ『BEASTARS』第2期主題歌。自身初のアニメ主題歌であり、『BEASTARS』は、第11回マンガ大賞(2018年)をはじめ複数の漫画賞受賞実績のある人気漫画を原作としたアニメ。2019年に放送された第1期も人気を博し、原作漫画が2020年に完結したタイミングで2021年1月より待望の第二期がスタート。さらに"小説を音楽にするユニット"として活動するYOASOBIのコンセプトに合わせる形で、『BEASTARS』の作者である漫画家・板垣巴瑠が初めて小説「自分の胸に自分の耳を押し当てて」を書き下ろした。そんな小説と漫画、アニメの世界観を起点に、肉食獣と草食獣が共存する世界で自身の本能と種族を越えた愛の狭間で揺れる主人公・レゴシの葛藤を、サウンド面、歌詞、ボーカルワークの全てで表現した楽曲は、YOASOBIの真骨頂でありながら、また新しい一面を見せられる楽曲に仕上がっている。 DVD付き。 ※2021年5月31日までの期間生産限定盤。
