Continuing where the second installment left off, in .hack//G.U. Vol. 3: Redemption Haseo discovers that old enemies have returned and some friends have turned against him. And with the mysterious evil that once lurked only within the confines of the MMO now causing havoc in the real world, Haseo and his friends must overcome impending doom and restore balance to both realities. 创世纪传说《.hack//G.U》系列作最终章，解析《.hack//G.U》故事的原貌！全部系列作一共三款的《.hack//G.U》系列终于即将推出最后一款：《Vol.3 漫步之速》，终于要在此作上划下终止的符号。

为了前往最后决战地而接受 Hack 改造的长谷雄新增了最后一种型态“Xth”，新增了双枪的装备，全范围瞄准的战斗系统也一并进化！从 Data Drain 所产生出的凭神变化，以及与BOSS进行的凭神战斗，也能够使用双枪来多重瞄准！除了前两款系列作品过来的角色之外，本作又有新角色共 10 名角色可以加入长谷雄的阵容，包括“复活的主角”、“电视版动画角色”以及原本是敌方角色的“三苍骑士”等等，玩家将以总数 22 人的团队阵容迎向最终决战！此作新增了能够使武器成长的系统，包含长谷雄在内的八相成员皆会有被称为“Lost Weapon”的专属武器，而要使武器成长则必须搜集叫做“Virus Core”的道具。
